Roadblocks to Volunteering
Please join for a feedback session March 12th at 6:30pm at the town hall. Volunteering is at an all-time low and our goal is to find solutions to the barriers that our community members face when they consider becoming a volunteer. If you are a community member that has thought about volunteering, please join us to discuss the reasons why you couldn't volunteer. Or a group that depends on volunteers, let's discuss your needs. I have invited community leaders to listen. I truly believe volunteers are the foundation to a strong community. Let’s work together to find a solution before this becomes a problem we can’t solve. I will have food so if nothing else please come for dinner.

MVP 2.0 - Resilient Windsor!
Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness 2.0 (MVP 2.0) is the second round of a Massachusetts grant program to fund local projects that will benefit disadvantaged community groups expected to be more affected by climate change than the general population in the coming years.
Municipal Aggregation Plan
All Windsor residents and businesses are eligible to join the electricity Municipal Aggregation Plan. This plan enables the Town to combine the purchasing power of its residents and businesses to provide them with an alternative to Eversource Basic Service (M.G.L. c. 164, § 134). This is a voluntary program. For an up-to-date comparison of the rates offered through the Plan versus the Eversource basic rate, click on this link. Additional information is available from the Green Committee.
We have been notified by Colonial Power that, beginning in February 2025 and extending for a few months, the municipal aggregation rate for Windsor will actually be higher than the Eversource basic rate. Eversource will be 0.11719 ($/kWh) compared to Colonial 0.12520 ($/kWh). This will possibly change in the spring after a new round of bidding. For those interested in opting out of municipal aggregation for that period of time, please visit https://colonialpowergroup.com/windsor/ or contact Mark Cappadona at Colonial Power--508-485-5858.
